A Decade of Campus Journalism Excellence

I'm officially on vacation starting today Nov.2 to Nov. 4, 2007. I'll be traveling to Kabayan, Benguet for some writing assignment for the campus publication and also for my local column in Bacolod. If I do get the chance to have internet through my phone courtesy of Smart then I would have the chance to update this blog. I will meet the famous Kabayan mummies and wade through the famous freshwater lakes of this Cordillera mountain hideaway. If I have the guts and the gear to climb the second highest peak in the country then I'll head off Mt. Pulag on Saturday morning. I'll be back in Baguio by Sunday afternoon. I hope I can share some worthwhile talk with the native Ibalois. I hope that they will share their unique traditions and rituals to me. I'm so excited to write about it in my blog! For now, I'll leave you with a slideshow of my publication's issues since 1997. (This slideshow contains magazine issues only and doesn't include newsletter, literary folio, tabloid and broadsheet issue of The Alternative).

@ederic>>>Thanks! We'll be celebrating our 10 years as The Alternative. But we are older than ten years because the old name of the publication is Gold Ore which dates back in the 1960s however some media veterans in Baguio who were once part of the school pub decided to change the school pub into a local paper in Baguio so we changed the name...Salamat at Mabuhay din sa'yo Ederic!
